Knee Trouble

Dear Family and Friends,

This week, the Zone Leaders introduced a new contest in the Zone. Every week, there will be a different key indicator (stat) that will be selected and whoever gets the most of that in the week will win this sweet crown. Well, Elder Owens and I got 8 new investigators again this week so we walked off with the Kingwood Crown for the first week of its existence and you better believe that it will be staying in our apartment as long as we are here! haha

Knees

Anyway, I don’t even know what to say. haha each week is the same. well, to start off, my knees have been KILLING me! The mission doctor said that it’s something called “runners knee” or something. I feel like an old man. I was worried he was gonna tell me to stop playing basketball and running be he actually said that I should ice it and take ibuprofen and “fight through it” and that it will get better that way so that’s something I can definitely do!

Cosme

Anyway an update on our area… on Wednesday we had a lesson with President Pomeroy and Cosme and his family. It got pretty intense. Cosme seems to think that we question his belief in God and Jesus Christ, and that frustrates him. He is so prideful sometimes, he thinks that he is fine with God and he doesn’t need to join a church and he is good to go! His wife started crying (she cries a lot, but she is awesome haha).. We were just telling Cosme that if there is something more out there, wouldn’t he want to know? And he said yes. then we started talking about how the sealing power to be a family together has been restored. then, his wife smiled and asked him, “would you be able to handle me forever?” Cosme just sat there… he just kind of laughed and looked down. I was SO MAD AT HIM! that was such a jerk move! His wife, Mari just goes, “come on cosme, say yes… this is looking bad…” I was so mad. I just feel like if my wife, who I loved and asked to be married to forever, asked me that, I would say YYYYYYEEEEEESSSS! that is all I want! but Cosme didn’t even say anything. I was really disappointed with him. But he said he would take the Book of Mormon more seriously and read and pray about it.

Thursday, we went to the temple as a zone. pictures will be included!

Saturday we went on exchanges with the Zone leaders. I went with Elder Sylvester, speaking English. man, it was pretty crazy. Sometimes, I don’t even know what to say in lessons or contacting in English, since I just speak Spanish all the time! haha but it’s ok. We had nothing planned all day but PURE knocking! That’s right, 9 straight hours of talking to prideful rich English speaking people, getting doors slammed in our faces or having our testimonies attacked at every doorstep. I loved it. Just you, a book of

Mormon, your companion, and your testimony. Boss.

Well, basketball is calling. Love yall
