Houston has seen some bad weather last night.

Here are some weather photos from Houston:

The tornado is over but there is still heavy rains:

I asked Carlos about it and he sent this little note:

“yeah dad it’s pretty nuts. we were in lockdown but it got liften cuz I guess the warning is over but it is still raining like crazy! I have never seen so much rain. I took lots of video but no pictures so I’ll send some of the other elders’ pictures in my weekly email. It’s nuts!!

EVERYTHING is flooded. Broadway street, the street right next to us that our church is on was so flooded you couldn’t see the median! the overpasses were shut off from so much  water. You couldn’t get through them. We were driving on sidewalks to get to the library! It’s nuts! I have literally never seen so much water in the city. The on ramp to the free way was literally a lake!! you could only see the tops of the trees on the side of the road! There is water everywhere! the Sims Bayou river is super full and it runs right through our area. It’s crazy! And the lightning and thunder is like nothing I have seen or heard before. SO  LOUD!”

How about that! Now, start digging up those yellow Mormon Helping Hands -shirts and vests and get to work! Glad to hear that you are safe.

I’ve never seen so much water on dry lands. Missionaries aren’t able to row a boat, right? Keep your heads above waterline.
