Dear Families of the Great Missionaries of THE Mission,
Thank you for your support of not only your loved one, but for all the missionaries of this mission. Sister Crawford and I also deeply appreciate your prayers on our behalf. We need them and we thank you for your prayers.
For the next three months we will be talking about the creation of the “Texas Houston East Mission 1st Ward.” As you will read from the Focal Point, there won’t be a building or a bishop nor will this “ward” belong to any stake. Instead we want to do our part in helping further strengthen the stakes of Zion in this part of the Lord’s vineyard and to do so in a positive and fun way for the missionaries. We want them to be “Purpose Driven” missionaries but we want them to have a joyful goal as well.
Sister Crawford and I are pleased with the missionaries of this mission. They are obedient and good. They are wonderful representatives of the Savior. We have now served for a year and we have never felt better about the work of these wonderful missionaries.
Please encourage them to find people to teach and to improve their teaching and missionary skills through dedicated study of Preach My Gospel. Above all, encourage them to share spiritual experiences with you, whether it is in finding a person to teach at the last house of the day or what they are learning from their studies. Help keep them focused on their work here by sharing your spiritual growth as well.
I can’t say enough about these missionaries. I understand more fully how Helaman felt regarding his stripling warriors. Thank you for raising such outstanding young men and women. We thank you and we love you.
