Daisy’s Baptism

Dear Family and Friends,

Well, I know I say this every week, but this one is going to have to be short. We got a call this morning that the mission needed some elders to drive out to Conroe, TX (out of the mission) and pick up 6 Chevy Cruze’s to bring back to the mission. So we had to drive all the way out there and come all the way back. Not my favorite way to spend a P Day but hey, they were nice. They were really smooth and accelerated really well, which I like. They did feel a little small though. Also, we got to each drive a car by ourselves. It was weird being alone. Not sure how I will ever get used to that again.

#inothernews I hit 18 months this last week! Pretty crazy! Oh, another thing, Elder Cope was released as Zone Leader out in Beaumont and he is the new AP! I’m really excited because he is going to be an awesome AP and now he will live just right down the street! I love Elder Cope!

Daisy’s Baptism

So… probably the most important thing for this email is the fact that Daisy got baptized! It was such a sweet service! She was so excited and happy! It was awesome to see. She asked me to baptize her. She calls me her big brother. I seriously just love that family!!! I can’t believe a week and a half ago we still had no idea if she even wanted to get baptized. It truly was a miracle. The whole family came and it was a great service. President and Sister Crawford came too. She is doing so great. Yesterday she received the Gift of the Holy Ghost and she seemed really happy at church.

Manuel

About Manuel… Troy Sorenson has been helping a lot since he has been staying at Manuel’s house for the past month. They have been reading a chapter from the Book of Mormon a day. Manuel is really excited to get baptized and likes what he is learning. Apparently, though, the parents didn’t even know he was getting baptized haha. His mom is recently reactivated and the dad isn’t a member. But yesterday they talked to us and said they are totally OK with him getting baptized if that’s what he wants, they just want him to go to church a little more first. So, we are shooting for the end of June sometime.

Other than that, everything is going well. An elder claims to have sneaked a peak at the transfer board and says that Elder Owens and I are looking like we are going to stay together for another transfer. It would be our third. I haven’t had a companion for three transfers before, so that should be interesting. But I really want to stay in this area. There is a lot of work to do here. Especially with the branch members. I can’t believe this transfer is almost over and after this I only have four more. I really wonder how the rest of my mission will play out. But I will just work as hard as I can wherever I am!

Anyway, it’s time for ball!

Love y’all!

PS. I’m pretty mad but this computer is being dumb so no pictures this time.
