Transfers

Dear Family and Friends,

I am getting transferred from Beaumont. It’s pretty lame. Yesterday, at church, I gave my  testimony to say goodbye to the branch and I broke down like a baby. That hasn’t happened to me my whole mission. Beto and Yaneth bore their testimonies too. They said thanks to me for all the help we have given them and Yaneth quoted psalms 91 [read it here] from memory. It was pretty sweet. man, it was really sad. I seriously can’t remember a time when I have cried my whole mission. This branch is so special.

Sergio and Maria

Sergio and Maria (actually, their real last name is Salvedras) took me and Elder Jones out to breakfast this morning. Man, they really didn’t want me to go. They kept asking me to tell President Crawford to let me stay. Like, over and over. Finally, they asked if they could call president. And they did! He didn’t answer. I didn’t think they would call him! They can’t even speak English for crying out loud. Man, they kept asking if I will come back one day. I told them I can come back for their baptism. Seriously, they did not want me to go. They were begging. I love that family. I will miss them a lot.

There are a lot of pictures I want to send you guys from this weekend, but I’m not sure if there will be time. Maybe next weekend. Also, I am working on getting a memory card sent back to my dad with some pictures and videos and maybe some surprises on there 😉

Juan Aleman

Juan Aleman came to church yesterday and brought his sister from Mexico. He is doing good. He’s a really funny guy. Just straight, simple, and to the point. I like him.

Usually, when transfer calls come in on Saturday night, I pack right away. I am usually done packing by Sunday night. I haven’t even started packing yet! I think it’s cuz I just don’t want to leave! This really stinks!

At the same time though, it will be exciting and refreshing to go into a new area and meet new people. I know that there are awesome people everywhere. I am excited to move forward and get some new experieces. It will be exciting.

I’m really scatterbrained right now. I will try and send some pictures soon. But I love y’all! Have a good week!

    1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

    2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

    3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

    4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

    6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

    7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

    8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

    10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

    11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

    12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

    14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

    15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

    16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
